To the players:

Follow te instructions of the coach and his assistants. Be an athlete. Cheer on all the good performances, whether it’s your team’s or the opposing team’s. Be positive! Support your teammates even when they make mistakes. Without mistakes there is no growth. Work equally hard for yourself and your team. If your team benefits from you, so will you. Show respect to the competition officials as well as to the opponent and his crowd. Treat everyone as you want to be treated. Never argue with the judge. If you disagree, let the captain or coach go to him at halftime or after the game. Don’t taunt, call out, or bully your teammates or opponents! Do not make racist, religious or other discriminatory comments! With your behavior on and off the field, be an example and do not discredit the authority of FC Botev Debelets

To parents:

Remember that children play sports for their own enjoyment, not yours. Encourage children to participate. Don’t oblige them. Focus on the children’s effort, not on whether they win or lose. Encourage children to always follow the rules. Never yell at a child for making a mistake or losing. Remember that children learn best by example. Cheer each team’s good play. Respect the judges’ decisions and teach your children to do the same. Appreciate the volunteers, coaches, referees and administrators. Without them, your child would not participate in a quality sports competition. Set a good example for children with your own actions and behavior. Help children learn the rules and subtleties of the game.Don’t yell at the kids during practice or a game because you insult the coach and confuse the player. After a game you haven’t been to is over, ask the kids how they played, not how they finished.

To the coaches:

Remember that children participate for fun and winning is only part of the fun. Be reasonable in your demands on the time, enthusiasm and energy of young athletes. Teach your players to follow the rules and explain that it is their responsibility. Whenever possible, group players so that everyone has an equal chance to perform and succeed. Be careful not to overestimate talented players. The mediocre need and deserve equal exposure time to the more talented. Make sure the equipment and facilities are safe and appropriate for the age and skill of the players. Develop respect for the skill of opponents, for other coaches and for the judgment of referees. Keep up with the latest coaching techniques, methods and principles regarding the growth and development of children. Educate children about the benefits of sports activities and help them understand the difference between the youth competition they participate in and professional sports.
